WHAT ARE CONNECT GROUPS?

Simply put, a Connect Group is a small group of people who meet regularly to learn more about God, to grow in their personal Christian lives, and to develop supportive friendships with others who have similar desires. Our Connect Groups typically meet every other week, either at the church or at a host’s home.

WHAT HAPPENS AT CONNECT GROUPS?

Most Connect Group meetings last about two hours. A typical meeting will include worship, a teaching and discussion, personal sharing, prayer and a snack or meal. Most Connect Groups periodically schedule social events and participate in service projects together.

WHY JOIN A CONNECT GROUP?

Attending corporate Sunday services is very important, but it cannot supply the much needed connections we need as the Body of Christ. Connect Groups are designed to supplement the Sunday services by:

Providing a place for you to freely discuss your personal questions about God and Jesus Christ.

Introducing you to new Biblical truths through a short teaching and subsequent group discussion.

Helping you to develop supportive friendships with a smaller group of people with whom you can share life’s joys and struggles.

Providing an opportunity for involvement by serving the body of Christ through prayer, encouragement, and sharing within your group and serving the world through service projects.

WHAT ABOUT CHILDCARE?

Many groups provide childcare. The current Connect Group information below will indicate their childcare options.

HOW DO I CHOOSE A GROUP?

You might choose a group based on a recommendation from a church friend, a convenient meeting location/day/time, or your current life stage. And don’t worry; you don’t have to settle on a Connect Group after just one visit. It’s okay to check out several before choosing the right fit for you and your family. Regardless of the group you choose to visit, please call ahead to confirm the next meeting date and location.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS/COVID

Please notice the special considerations section of the Connect Group Info sheet below. You’ll find the safety protocols for each group. We encourage you to choose the group that’s right for you. If you are trying a group for the first time, please contact the connect group leader so they can make proper accommodations.

If you would like more information or would like to start/host your own group, contact our Care and Connection Pastor, Larry Moe.
