Our mission is to teach our children to be more than just nice Christians. We want them to love Jesus, to listen and respond to Him, to give their lives for His Kingdom, to really know Him, and to make Him known.
Our Children’s Ministry program currently offers three classes on Sunday mornings and Saturday evenings: toddlers (ages 2-4); preschool age (4-K), Kid’s Church grades (1-5).
Beyond providing excellent care for your infant we do very much consider this a ministry, the first steps (however tiny they might be!) toward a life of loving and living for Jesus.
Our nursery is for ages new born –2 yrs. The infants and “walkers” are typically cared for in two different rooms within the nursery. There are several things you should know about our nursery ministry described in this brochure.

Kids’ Church provides a fun place for grades 1-5 to learn about loving Jesus and one another. During each Sunday morning service, children are dismissed to Kids’ Church after worship. Your child will experience child friendly worship and prayer, an age-appropriate Bible lesson, and a variety of other activities, including small groups, crafts, games, and snacks.

Out of respect for the other children and nursery teachers we ask that you refrain from using the nursery if your child has had a fever, vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours, has now or been exposed to other contagious diseases, or presently has a cough or running nose.
PICK UP POLICY
1. Pick your child up promptly at the conclusion of the service* (no later than 10 minutes after the service conclusion) 2. Bring your child’s ID tag, if this is lost, you must present Picture ID. 3. Gather all your child’s belongings (ex. bottle/cup; diaper bag, etc.) *Please feel free to receive prayer ministry at the conclusion of the service as needed. We want you to feel welcome to participate in unhurried prayer ministry.
If your child needs you prior to the conclusion of the service (e.g. crying, illness, etc.) we will post a message on the bottom of the projector screen in the sanctuary with your child’s number.
For obvious health & safety reasons only scheduled nursery staff are allowed in the nursery room.
Nursery workers will only provide your child with the bottle or sippy cup that you provide. This is an effort to minimize as many hazards to choking and allergic food reactions as possible.
There is a diaper changing station located in the men’s and women’s restroom next to the nursery. Room #5 has been designed for parents to engage with nursery children outside of the nursery room. It is equipped with speakers so you may continue to listen to the message. This room is also provided to be the welcoming place for nursing mom’s to call their own.
Ministry to the children of Midland Vineyard© and our guests is a partnership. There is a general expectation that all parents will participate in children’s ministry in some meaningful way. You can fill out a Children/Youth Ministry Application located on the web or at the resource center. We encourage you to seek your place in the discipleship process of the children Jesus has entrusted to us. It’s a responsibility, an opportunity and a lot of fun!
