2025 Bylaw Update
NLV Members,
The time has come for us to review and update our bylaws as members. Bylaws are an important governing document which guides the operations of our church Advisory Board and business operations. This process was initiated for two primary reasons. First, our bylaws were last updated in 2016 meaning that we are due for a refresh. Second, Vineyard USA asked that all US churches adopt a standardized practice for licensing and ordination. With the exception of licensing and ordination, the bylaws are largely unchanged from the previous iteration.
The process of reviewing and updating the bylaws has been ongoing for the past 5 months with input from the Advisory Board, Vineyard USA, and a specialized lawyer under the guidance of Pastors Dan & James. The board has approved the update by unanimous vote at their most recent meeting. As members of NLV, we now need a vote from you to ratify the document thereby approving it for our use. NLV currently has 150 registered members, and we require a vote from a 2/3rds majority (101 votes) for this vote to pass.
To this end, we have done our best to make this process as convenient for ALL members to cast their vote (even the snowbirds). Please begin by completing the form below to let us know how you plan to cast your vote. You have the option to vote by proxy, allowing your vote (Approve/Disapprove) to be cast on your behalf at the Hear from God Meeting. Please review all the documents below and prayerfully consider which vote you will cast (Approve/Disapprove).
